Demo Children Home l Social
I’m Mr. Narbu Yolmo (Founder /Managing Director) and along with my friends established Demo Children Home, in 2012 AD, initially took in 5 underprivileged and destitute children from various families in the Kaski district. After few months, we added more 7 children in the home. The organization was providing them with proper care , private school education, and a nurturing environment in the Homes. However, a challenging turn of events occurred when my son was diagnosed with leukemia, urgently required treatment in hospital in Kathmandu. This unfortunate circumstance left no one to care for the children of our Children Home in Pokhara. Prompting the decision to temporarily send them to their relatives for their well-being.
Despite the initial set back, Demo Children Home continued to persevere in its mission. However, the outbreak of Covid -19 pandemic posed significant challenges. The organization faced difficulties in organizing programs for the disadvantaged children, particularly those attending government schools. The pandemic’s restrictions and safety concerns made it challenging to carry out the planned activities and initiatives that were aimed at supporting the educational needs of the underprivileged children.
Demo children home’s dedication to its cause remains unwavering, but the combined effects of personal challenges and the pandemic have undoubtedly posed hurdles to its ability to provide continues support to the children in need. The organization’s commitment to improving the lives of these young individuals, even in the face of adversity, reflects its admirable mission and goals.
